Three-step shampoo and steam refresh
The Triple Threat follows a defined three-step process: a targeted shampoo sequence to remove buildup, a deep conditioning phase, and an herbal hot oil treatment finished with steam to refresh every strand. Each step is applied to locs and scalp specifically so cleansing reaches interlocked hair without altering your set or retwist.
Because the method emphasizes removal of sweat, outdoor residue and product buildup, it’s especially useful after summer activities, pool exposure, or prolonged product use. SkyLocs applies the steam refresh to help conditioning penetrate locs while protecting their integrity, giving a thorough clean without retwisting or changing your style.
Scalp detox and deep hydration
The service focuses on scalp clarity and moisture balance rather than styling. Clients report a sense of refreshed, healthier locs and mention feeling pampered and educated about at-home care. The treatment targets trapped debris and dryness so clients leave with a cleaner scalp and locs that feel more supple and manageable.
Because this is a Loc Treatment — No Retwist, technicians will not retwist or recreate parts. The session prioritizes cleansing and hydration only, so expect no change to your current parting or maintained style. If you want retwisting combined with this treatment, book a different service or ask about combining services when you schedule.
Duration, scheduling and fees
Price: $100. Duration: 95 MINUTES. The appointment is scheduled to complete the three-step protocol within the listed time. Note the studio policy: if the service exceeds the allotted 1 hour 15 minutes because of extra cleansing needs, a $25 Intense Detox Fee applies. This covers additional time and product required for heavy buildup.
SkyLocs sees higher demand in January and mid-to-late summer (July and August) when clients seek post-holiday or sweat-and-chlorine refreshes. Located on the East Side 56th Street corridor in Indianapolis, the salon offers appointment windows that fit school drop-off/pick-up and after-work schedules for commuters using I-465 or East 56th Street.
