Starting locs doesn’t automatically mean thinner edges. What makes edges suffer is usually too much tension, frequent tight styles, or manipulating the hairline when your hair is already fragile. In your consultation, I’ll look closely at your edges and density and recommend a start method and maintenance rhythm that respects your hairline.
Can a consultation fix crochet locs that are unraveling or slipping?
The consultation is where I figure out why they’re unraveling or slipping and what repair approach makes sense. If crochet repair is the right move, I’ll explain what I recommend and what we need to book next. If a different approach will hold better, I’ll tell you that too.

Freeform tends to take longer to look fully mature because you’re doing less manipulation and letting your hair lock on its own timeline. In your consultation, I’ll talk with you about what “mature” means to you, what your hair is likely to do, and what kind of maintenance (if any) you want while it’s developing.
